Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Nuna, Aunt, Sister and Friend
Joan Carpanini, 99, of Queens, New York, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025.
Born and raised in Queens, Joan was the heart of her family - a proud wife, mother, grandmother, nuna, aunt, sister and friend. She was daughter to late Giovanni and Mary Bazzani and sister to the late Evelyn Polizio. She was the devoted wife of the late Gino Carpanini, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family traditions that will live on for generations.
She was the cherished mother of John and his wife Harriet, Peter and his wife Virginia and Nancy and her husband Jimmy. Joan was the loving grandmother of Dena and her husband Michael, James and his wife Brenda, Mark and his wife Phyllis, Matthew, Peter, Vincent and his wife Jane, Jennifer and her husband Alex, Michael and his wife Jeanette, Gina and her husband Tommy, Nicholas, Kevin, and her beloved late granddaughter Dawn.
She was also the proud great-grandmother of Jacqueline, Michael, Dalyn, Gianna, Nicholas, Vincent, Mia, Sienna, Arianna, Marlowe, Greyson, Michael, Thomas, Daniella, and Lucas - each of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride.
Joan was known for her generous heart, her sense of humor, and her deep devotion to her family. She found joy in the simple things - tending her garden, sewing with care, getting lost in a good book, and sharing long, heartfelt conversations with those she loved. Her home was always open and full of warmth, good food, and laughter. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Joan leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family - one that will continue to guide and inspire those she touched throughout her remarkable life.
