Jimmy Don Parks, was born on June 11, 1959, in Rotan, Texas. He graduated from Roby High School and went on to lead a life filled with simple pleasures and passions. Jimmy had a deep appreciation for reading and a love for the music of the '50s and '60s, with favorites such as the Beach Boys, The Beatles, and Elvis. Among his favorite pastimes was watching television, particularly enjoying episodes of Scooby Doo.
Jimmy passed away on March 22, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories for his family and friends. He is survived by his sister, Patricia (Gerald) Claxton; two aunts, Joan Burch and Wanda Horton; a sister-in-law, Teresa Parks; three nephews, Ryan Claxton, Shane Parks, and Casey Johnson; and one niece, Allie Claxton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Don Leslie and Sally Leona (Horton) Parks, and his brother, Reggie Parks.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on March 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The service will take place at Belvieu located in Rotan, TX. Jimmy will be remembered for his gentle nature, love for music, and fondness for family.
