Jimmy Carrol Ritter, 74, passed away September 30, 2025, in OKC, OK. He was born on December 22, 1950, to Rowland and Opal Ritter.

Jim retired from the bakery (Wonder bread/Rainbow) after 40 years, then he retired from the State of Oklahoma, EGID, after almost 20 years.

Jim enjoyed spending his retired days watching TV, Walking Dead series was his favorite, the OU Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys, but he would watch any sport, it didn't matter. He loved to travel; he liked to take the hilliest and/or the most curved road he could find.

In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and loved camping and fishing. He spent several years coaching his daughters in softball.

He worked hard his entire life. He was the most kindhearted and loving husband, father and friend anyone could ask for. He lit up the room when he walked in. He was always smiling and cracking jokes. Family and friends meant a lot to him, and he always loved spending time, especially the holidays, with everyone, he will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father Rowland Ritter, mother Opal Ritter, brother Benny White and grandson Tanner Hart.

He is survived by his loving partner of 18 years Sandy Gaut, one sister Norma Jean Shelton spouse Bob. 4 daughters: Jami Parra spouse Fortunato, Jodi Hart, Amanda Dearing, spouse Josh, and Cindy Filip. 1 son AJ Filip, spouse Robin. 5 granddaughters: Kayla Adams spouse Marggie, Brooke Adams, Aspen Dearing, Megan Hart, and Randi Hart. 12 grandsons: Tim Hamilton, spouse Mercedes, Jayden Filip, Braxton Filip, Greyson Filip, Cooper Dearing, Bentley Dearing, Lathan Filip, Seth Cashion, Samuel Wilcots, Solomon Wilcots, and Tyler Hart. 4 great granddaughters: Madyson Hamilton, Timley Hamilton, Jaylene Gallegos, and Ebonnie Gallegos. 4 great grandsons: Kayden Hart, Lance Erickson, James Erickson, and Kirk Erickson. And finally, his dog Roscoe.
