Jimmy Roper, a devoted family man and true original passed away on Monday April 21, 2025 doing what he loved, riding his Harley Davidson. A Celebration of Jimmy's Life will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Jimmy's family will welcome guests at the funeral home from 3:00 PM Saturday until the time of the service.
He left this world with the wind at his back and the road ahead, a reflection of the free spirit he carried throughout his life. Jimmy loved his German Shepherds, found peace in fishing under the Florida sun and cherished his family above all else, especially his grandkids, Jaxtyn and Michael. Whether he was playing with Jaxtyn, telling stories or cracking jokes, Jimmy brought warmth, humor and heart into every moment.
Jimmy was born on December 13, 1958 and is best known for his cowboy boots, cut off shorts and Harley Davidson pride. He lived life boldly and on his own terms.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lenna Watson; his mother Marion Roper;and is father William Roper.
Jimmy is survived by his children, Jennifer ( Matthew) Thomason and Joseph Watson. His grandchildren Jaxtyn and Michael Thomason and his siblings; Marvin (Debra) Roper, Victoria Sopko, Allen Roper, Gary ( Kathy ) Roper, Brenda ( Edward ) Beutler and Carol Roper. Jimmy has many nieces and nephews and life long friend Steve ( Kim ) Tippitt.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love he gave, the loyalty he showed and the life he lived with passion and pride.
