Jimmy Wade Tharp
Mr. Jimmy Wade Tharp of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born October 10, 1939 in Newark, the son of Lee and Minnie Ethel Tharp.
Mr. Tharp enjoyed listening to old country music and watching the Grand Ole Opry. He loved the activities and holiday parties at the White River Specialized Industries. Jimmy was of the Church of Christ belief.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Tharp and Minnie Ethel Tharp Richardson; two sisters, Julia Ann Norris and Nina Lee Hamrick.
Jimmy is survived by two nephews, Steve Norris and wife, Kim, of Newark and Kenneth Ray Norris of Texas; three nieces, Kynleigh Norris of Sulphur Rock, Amanda Johnson Norris of Vilonia, and Belinda Sarne of Texas; and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Blue Springs Cemetery.
