Johnny Charles Nichols, 77, of Tuckerman, departed this life on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born January 21, 1948, to Charlie and Laura Dell (Vaughn) Nichols.

Johnny worked for many years at Riceland Foods, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those around him through his hard work and dedication. After retirement, he found joy in the things that brought him peace and excitement. He was especially passionate about working on Mustang cars, spending countless hours under the hood fine-tuning and restoring them. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road, and he could often be found with a fishing pole in hand, enjoying the quiet moments by the water.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Laura Dell Nichols.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christin Nichols, of the home; his sisters, Betty Carol Cowell (Gerald W.) of Southaven, Mississippi, and Mary Gladys of Newport; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember his kindness, humor, and love for life.

Johnny will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the lives of those who loved him and in the stories shared of his time spent with family and friends.

The family would like to thank St. Bernard's for the care that Mr. Johnny was given.

Memorial service will be held at a later date.
