Jimmy Wayne Turner, a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away Sep. 21st 2024 at his home in Meridian Tx.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
The son of Billy Turner and Sylvia Sims, Jim was born February 24th 1956 and grew up in Mineola, Tx
At the age of 20, Jim enlisted in the United States Air Force. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Staff Sargent well serving for 12 years from Jan. 1976 to May of 1990. He was a civil engineer and even went to Korea with the Red Horse Unit. After the Military Jim spent many years serving in Law Enforcement in and around Bosque County.
Jimmy married the love of life Vicky Turner on May 8,1994. They were married 29 years.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife Vicky Turner. Parents Billy Turner and Sylvia Sims. Brother Craig Turner.
Jim is survived by Children, Kelly Turner, Crystal Turner, Elizabeth Corser, Timothy Turner, Heather Turner, Melanie Ennis. Sister Karen Lawson, Aunt Linda Davis, Cousin Richard Koonce and Malinda Koonce. Grandkids Domanic Allen, Kynzie Turner, Zoey Allen and Kolbie Turner.
A Service honoring the life of Jim will be held Friday, September 27th 2024 from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian, Texas 254-435-2792.
