Mrs. Jo Ann Carso Bass, 87, of Monroe, Louisiana, died Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Trinity Woods in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
A native of Monroe, she attended Georgia Tucker Elementary School, Neville High School and Louisiana Polytechnic Institute (Louisiana Tech) where she received her Bachelor of Science in Secretarial Sciences and was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She was a co-owner of the Cotton Patch in Monroe.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Bass and wife, Lisa, and Michael Bass and wife, Sandy; a daughter, Angela Quint and husband, Pat; two sisters, Catherine Ray and husband, Bud, and Camille Sihler; a brother, Samuel Carso; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved and adored. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lenora Wallace, and brother-in-law, Ken Sihler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 30, 2023, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 121 Jackson Street, Monroe, Louisiana 71201. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery in Monroe, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 2308 Sterlington Road, Monroe, Louisiana 71203.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Bass, Kyle Bass, Patrick Bass, Ryan Quint, Sean Madden, Jonathan Garrett, and Dylan Ford.
Her children would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Trinity Woods in Tulsa for the love, care and concern they have shown Mom these past few years.
