Jo-Ann Langer
Jo-Ann Langer (Zannino) passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the age of 78. A longtime resident of Norwalk, she was born in Stamford, CT on November 27, 1946, the daughter of Beatrice Zannino (Waring) and the late Tony Zannino. She was employed by MBI, Inc. and Dr. Bruce Baron for many years prior to her retirement. She was a parishioner and choir member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Norwalk. She also volunteered her time at the church's thrift shop for several years.
She is survived by her loving son, Robert C. Langer of Norwalk, CT, her mother Beatrice Zannino of Stamford, CT, her brothers Joseph Zannino (Janice) of Myrtle Beach, SC, James Zannino (Jerri) of Milford, CT and her sister Rose DeSalvo of Stamford, CT, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Tony Zannino.
Jo-Ann was a devoted animal lover, she especially loved her cats. She was an avid UConn Women's basketball fan and also enjoyed watching the WNBA.
The family will receive family and friends at Magner Funeral Home, 2 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, 10:00 A.M., at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, CT
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to PAWS (Pet Animal Welfare Society), Norwalk, CT at PAWSct.org or an animal organization of one's choice.
