Ms Jo Ann Connell passed peacefully into the loving arms of the Savior on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. She was 91. Jo Ann was born to Carl and Lallie Pearson in the community of Plano near Bowling Green, Kentucky on September 20th, 1932. She was the youngest of seven children and grew up on a farm. She attended Plano School and was active in 4-H Club and other school activities.
In 1949, she met John Thomas Connell. They were married on December 3rd of that year and settled in west Tennessee near Milan. Over the years, Jo Ann was active in her community and in the lives of her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a life-long member and Sunday school teacher at Concord Church.
Jo Ann is survived by her sons, Tommy (Raydeen) and Clay (Cyndi), six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John, infant son Ritchie, daughter Jackie, brothers Stanley, Wayne, and Harold, and sisters Hattie Francis, Carlene, and Mary.
Services for Ms Connell will include a visitation at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan on Wednesday, February 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Thursday February 8th at 11 a.m. with Brother Don McCurley conducting. Burial will follow at the Concord cemetery.
Anyone wishing to send a memorial in lieu of flowers may donate to Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church in her name.
