Jo Ann Loy was born on August 22, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the loving union of Joseph Loy and Nellie (Clanton) Loy. She graduated from Melvindale High School and then furthered her education with an associate's degree, paving the way for a life filled with success.
On January 29, 1966, Jo Ann married the love of her life, Teddy Cornett Sr. Together, they shared forty-three wonderful years of marriage, welcoming three beloved children into their lives. Throughout their time together, Jo Ann was the backbone of Teddy's small business, ensuring that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. After the business was sold, she embraced a new chapter by becoming a retail manager, where she continued to shine.
Jo Ann was a woman of many talents and interests. She was dedicated to her practice of Karate, earning a brown belt that showcased her mastery of complex techniques. Staying active was important to her, and she enjoyed rollerblading as another fun way to keep fit.
Residing in Estral Beach for over 60 years, Jo Ann nurtured her love for gardening and cultivating beautiful spaces. She cherished her relationships with her neighbors, enjoying catching up on all the local news. Jo Ann loved shopping for antiques, and had a special fondness for collecting trinkets, particularly wind chimes.
Jo Ann Cornett, aged 78, passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo inpatient facility on Tuesday; February 4, 2025. Her passing was preceded by her parents: Joseph and Nellie Loy; her loving husband: Teddy Cornett Sr.; and a son: Teddy Cornett Jr.
