Harold Vernon Deaton, age 83 of Spring City, TN, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Born April 16, 1942 in Brookside, Kentucky. Harold was the son of the late Lawrence and Lillie Mae (Hamby) Deaton. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1962.
In his free time, he liked to be outdoors. Harold enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved music and playing his guitar. Harold will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
To cherish his memory, Harold leaves his daughter, Paula Deaton; several grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Deaton of Mason, MI, Harvey Deaton of Monroe, Gordon (Nancy) Deaton of Monroe; and one sister, Carolyn (Jack) Branham of Erie.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a son, James H. Deaton.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home from 11 to 1 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 1 pm. Officiating is Rev. Jack Branham. Burial of cremains will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Memorial donations in honor of Harold are appreciated to the Deaton Family.
