Jo Ann Drummond, 78, of Gays, IL passed away at 4:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.
Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Jo Ann was born on August 9, 1947 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Henry Harrison and Flora Ellen (White) Trotter. She married William Michael Drummond on September 1, 1967 in Mattoon, IL.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Drummond of Gays, IL, two sons, Tim Drummond of Gays, IL and Thomas Drummond and his wife Megan of Kansas, IL, four grandchildren, Tyler Drummond and his wife Tabi of Mattoon, IL, Zacharie Drummond of Mattoon, IL, Bailey Drummond of Decatur, IL, and Emily Drummond of Charleston, IL, three great grandchildren, Addison, Scout and Blakely Drummond, four siblings, Sue Swinford and her husband Ronnie of Charleston, IL, Martha Upton and her husband John of Greenup, IL, Opal Mae Trotter of Sullivan, IL and David Lee Trotter and his wife Jodi of Mattoon, IL, and her companion puppy, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, William “Bill” Trotter and Larry Wayne Trotter.
Jo Ann was a 1965 graduate of Mattoon High School. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL.
Jo Ann was a homebody who poured her heart into her family. Her kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.
She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting and gardening.
