Jo Anne Duncan, age 82, of Plymouth, IN passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 18, 2024. Jo Anne was born on July 30, 1942, to the late Stephen A Kollar and Hazel B Stevens in Mishawaka, IN. She attended Washington-Clay High School graduating with the class of 1960. Jo Anne loved her family. She took pride in her children and grandchildren, always happy to visit or willing to help in any way she could. Jo Anne was a loyal and proud employee of 25 years in the accounting department at Notre Dame. She closely followed the Irish while employed and after her retirement in 2008. On November 9, 2002, she wed Bill and together they enjoyed antique collecting, gardening, and travel. Jo Anne had a passion for all holidays, especially Christmas. She and Bill would decorate beautifully indoors and out. She will be greatly missed this holiday season and always.
Jo Anne is survived by her husband, Bill Duncan of Plymouth, IN; son, Mark (Julie) Carrico of Fort Wayne, IN; step daughter, Beth (Alan) Marohn of Plymouth, IN; six grandchildren, Collin Holdread, Haidyn, Emery and Luca Carrico, Brooke and Jordan Marohn; sisters, Ida Belle Haughee of Mishawaka, IN, and Marilyn Potts of Edwardsburg, MI along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. Jo Anne was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela (Carrico) Holdread, stepdaughter Michelle Duncan, brothers Bob and Albert Kollar, sister Dorthy Gemmer.
Jo Anne's passing leaves a void in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Funeral services will be held at 12pm Friday, November 22, 2024, with a visitation beginning at 11am at Palmer Funeral home – Bubbs Chapel 3910 North Main St, Mishawaka, IN 46545. A burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
