Joseph Edward Jedrzejek

Joseph E. Jedrzejek, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away on July 9, 2025, in South Bend, Indiana, at the age of 74. Born on March 8, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, Joseph was the loving son of the late Edward and Irene (Pisarkiewicz) Jedrzejek.
A graduate of East Detroit High School's class of 1969, Joe furthered his education, earning a bachelor's degree that launched him into a long and successful career. For over four decades, Joe dedicated his professional life to the grocery business, serving as a respected manager with Roundy's and, following a corporate acquisition, with Kroger's. His dedication to his work was paralleled by his commitment to his family and friends, endearing him to many.
Joseph found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, relishing quiet mornings on the fairway as he took in the serenity surrounding him. His taste in music was well known to his loved ones, with the distinctive sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd often filling his home. Joseph's passion for the University of Michigan was matched only by his love for his beloved dog, Josey, a constant and loyal companion.
Joseph's warmth extended to everyone he met. He had a knack for making connections wherever he went, often embarking on drives solely to enjoy the company of friends and family. Those who knew Joseph valued his easy laughter, open heart, and the genuine interest he took in their lives.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his daughter, Jennifer; sons, Michael and Kullen; stepson, Keegan Hood; and his brother, Daniel (Tracey) Jedrzejek. Joseph was previously married to Robin (Mallison) Jedrzejek, with whom he tied the knot on March 6, 1981, and thereafter to Carla (Vandegenahte) Jedrzejek, joining in matrimony on November 4, 2000. Both relationships, though they concluded, brought profound experiences and growth into his life.
