Jo Anne Fairchild

Jo Anne Fairchild, a cherished soul and a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 24, 1943, in Ironton, Ohio, Jo Anne was the beloved daughter of Pete and Gladys Burgess Spolarich, both of whom preceded her in death.

Jo Anne's journey began as a bright-eyed student at Trevecca Nazarene University, where she embraced education and laid the foundations for a life filled with purpose and grace. She found her greatest calling in the simple, yet profound role of a homemaker, a title she bore with dignity and joy. Her home was not just a dwelling but a sanctuary of warmth and love for all who entered.

She walked through life hand in hand with her loving husband, Harold Fairchild. Their union was blessed with the birth of two sons, Larry Kevin and Kerry Evan Fairchild. Jo Anne's heart swelled with pride as she embraced her role as a mother, guiding her sons with a gentle hand and a wise spirit. Her family grew to include a cherished daughter-in-law, Alison. Also she leaves behind her treasured brother, Larry Spolarich.

The branches of Jo Anne's family tree extended to the cradle of her adored grandson, Andy Fairchild, and his wife, Suzy. The joy of her life further multiplied with her great-grandchildren: Keagan, Kairi, Kendall, Iris, and Juniper.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with words of comfort by Pastor Tim French. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until 1:00PM at the funeral home. A private burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Living Waters Worship Center, 286 Wolf Pen Hollow, Wurtland, Ky. 41144.
