Jo Ann Gaines

Jo Ann Gaines, age 78, of Annona, Texas, passed away on January 19, 2024, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She was born December 10,1945 in Pasadena, Texas to Jesse and Opal (Tucker) Baird. Jo Ann married Donald Gaines on April 16,1966. She attended Paris Junior College, receiving degrees as an L.V.N. and R.N. She retired from East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville, Texas in 2018. Jo Ann was a kind, giving person who cared deeply about giving care to others, especially children and animals.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, who will always cherish her as the love of his life, their son, Donald Leo Gaines (Melissa), two grandchildren, four great granddaughters (three of whom are named after her), two brothers and several nieces and nephews. 

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home.
