Jo Gilbreath Obituary

GILBREATH, Jo Nell Jo Nell Gilbreath was born February 2, 1932 in the Cana Community near Quitman, Texas and departed this life June 1, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Joe H. and Jennie White Gilbreath. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Co (now AT&T) in Dallas for 37 years. She retired in 1987 and moved back home to Quitman. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gilbreath; son, David Wayne Gilbreath; great grandson, Connor David McCaslin; her parents; and 8 siblings. She is survived by three granddaughters, Rachel McCaslin (Colin) of Sunnyvale, Katherine Jones (Justin) of Mesquite, and Rebecca Gilbreath of Forney; Daughter-in-Law, Donna Gilbreath of Sunnyvale; as well as two Great Grandsons, Noah and Bennett McCaslin of Sunnyvale; Great Granddaughter, Charlotte Jones of Mesquite; and her Sister-in-law, Vada Gilbreath of Yantis; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Lowe-Gardner Funerals & Cremations in Quitman. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM. Graveside services will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
