Jo Sholedice Obituary
Jo Ann Sholedice, 81 of Ashland passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on February 18, 1942 in Freeland, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Herbert and Josephine (nee Dubis) Cheesman.
Jo Ann graduated from Freeland High School, Class of 1960. She married the love of her life, Howard Joel Sholedice on September 9, 1964.
She was a homemaker all of her life. Jo Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was an animal enthusiasts who loved dogs and penguins. Jo Ann also loved flowers and gardening.
Jo Ann is survived by one niece, Bonnie (Dale) Weitzel of Ashland; two nephews, Alvin McQuate of Ashland and Randall (Bonnie) McQuate of Ashland; and numerous great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband Joel, who passed away on December 8, 2009; one sister, Margaret McQuate; and a niece, Peggy Menser.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, March 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Derek Kubilus presiding. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland County Humane Society.
