Jo Ellen Woods 77, of Corning Passed away at her home on Saturday April 19, 2025. She was born on September 26,1947, at home in Corning, the daughter of the late Cecil and Eloise (Theisen) Woods.
Jo Ellen was a 1965 graduate of Miller High School a lifelong member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a member of the Corning Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 463, a retired employee of Southern Local Schools. She had a positive fighting spirit and was active in the Community and proud to be from Corning.
She is survived by her Niece, Jill (Roger) Niese, great nieces, Molly and Morgan Niese, nephew, Mark Rusler, several cousins and many special friends.
Besides her parents Jo Ellen was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Phyllis Woods, and nephew Kevin Rusler.
Friends may call on Wednesday April 23, 2025, from 11-2 p.m. at St Bernard Catholic Church of Corning.
Ladies Auxiliary Eagles service will be held at 2 p.m. followed by a remembrance service by Gretchen Siemer
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Millerstown.
Following services at the cemetery, family and friends are invited back to The Corning Eagles for food and fellowship.
