Joahnas Taylor (JT) Owens, 54, of Pikeville, TN passed away peacefully at his home on September 29th, 2025.

JT was born in Chattanooga, TN and attended schools in Ooltewah, TN. He was a bright child and had a keen interest in how things operated, from household chemical reactions, small engines, to how many fireworks it took to blow something up. He was a bit of a natural computer wiz, taking some classes, but mostly self-taught. JT worked various jobs including night watchman at Summit Landfill, welding for Lightspeed Bikes, driving for CRST Trucking and most recently repairing lawnmowers and small engines.

JT loved animals, being outdoors, children, fishing, writing, history, music, and drawing. He had a sarcastic sense of humor and was loved by many.

JT was preceded in death by his devoted grandparents, Clifford and Marie McKee, and other beloved family members and friends. He is survived by his partner of many years, Melinda Roberts, his mother Sharon Searcy, his father Richard Owens, sister Ashley Lembcke (Chris), nieces Kaylee and Emelie, several aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins and extended family.

There will be no visitation, the family will host a gathering at a future date to be determined.

Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
