Joan A. Bertone

Joan Bertone, age 89, of Finksburg, Maryland passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Country Acres Assisted Living, Born May 17, 1934 Milford, Massachusetts she was the daughter of Helen and Percy Hutchinson.
She spent the majority of her life on Orlando, FL were she raised her family. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She worked making custom draperies, later worked in retail selling fine men's clothing. In her retirement she worked part-time in a jewelry store.
Joan like to cook and bake for people. She was skilled at knitting and crocheting and gave many beautiful afghans to her family that will be treasured.
Joan loved to work in her yard. Over the years she had vegetable and flower gardens. The last 2 1/2 years of her life she spent in Maryland, with her daughter and family.
She is survived by her children, Paul Bertone (Teri), Peter Bertone, Patty Robbins (Chuck), Frank Bertone (Susan), Michael Bertone (Margaret), Audrey Boyle (Steve). She had 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She loved and was loved by her family.
The interment will be private at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, Maryland.
