We are sad to announce the passing of Jo Caswell-West who left us peacefully on September 25, 2025 at the age of 89. She was a wonderful mom, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt to many of us Oklahoma kin folk.
Born in Hollis, Oklahoma to William Joseph (Jody) and Lucy Viola Hudson, Jo had an avid love for basketball as a teenager and was a friend to all. In her early twenties, Jo became a mother to her sons, Craig and Clint, all while beginning her professional career with SW Bell Telephone in Oklahoma City. At the age of 35, Jo made the journey to the Pacific Northwest to grow her career as an Account Manager for AT&T in Washington State. From there, she pursued a lifetime of travel and adventure.
While working in Death Valley, California in the 90's, she met and married John West who was happily married until his passing in 2021. Together, they shared fond times as "Snowbirds," finding friends and chosen family wherever they went. Jo loved to travel and spent her time between Washington and California chasing the sun. Whether vacationing in Mexico, managing an RV Park, planning family reunions, or spending time on the golf range, Jo lived a life of adventure and love for those around her.
On August 8th 2025, Jo was transported from a hospital in California back to Oklahoma to spend her final six weeks near her immediate family in Edmond, Oklahoma. She is survived by her two sons Craig Caswell (Louise Gringel-Caswell) and Clint Caswell (Susan Caswell) as well as her grandkids Jessica Tamras (Doug Tamras), Clint Jr. (Morgan Caswell), Kate Rean (Dominic Cellitti) and Desiree Caswell and great grandkids Van and Rachel Caswell, children of Clint Jr. and Morgan Caswell.
To the "The Hudson Cousin Hoedown Clan" - Jo wanted to send her love to all of you. She loved being an aunt to you all and held these memories closely in her last days. May the clan live on! To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of JOAN, please visit our floral store.
