Joni loved art; after earning her degree as a graphic designer she went to work at the Calumet Press. She further extended her education, earning her degree as a Registered Nurse, serving two decades for Memorial Hospital. Joni was a volunteer at Wellfield Garden and very active in her church, St. Pius X. She made blankets, prepped hot meals, and assisted in any way she could to help others in need. She enjoyed traveling, socializing, cooking and sharing meals. She took many adventurous trips to national and state parks with her husband. Joni loved her family, and fur-family the most. Any time spent with them brought her the most joy. She was an excellent listener and would give welcomed advice. Joni was a vibrant, bright, caring, kind soul who will be dearly missed.
