Scott Lee Kolberg, aged 63, passed away on November 2, 2025. Born on May 22, 1962, to Ronald L. Kolberg and Nancy (Wines) Kirk, Scott's gentle spirit and love for nature were evident from his early years growing up in the close-knit community of Bridgman.
A proud graduate of Bridgman High School, Scott's education laid the foundation for his life's work. He was well-known and respected in the restaurant industry, where he honed his skills as a cook. Scott's career path also led him to work at Pebblewood, Timbers and worked construction, where he put in his time and dedication.
Scott's passion for life was not confined to his professional endeavors. He was an avid lover of animals, with a particular fondness for wolves. He also enjoyed cooking.
His green thumb was evident to all. An outdoorsman at heart, Scott found joy in nature. Hiking through the forests and trails, he was at his happiest, surrounded by the sounds and sights of the natural world he so cherished. His simple life was a testament to his belief that happiness is found in the appreciation of the world around us.
In his final act of generosity, Scott chose to be a life donor, a decision that encapsulated his desire to give back to others in the most profound way possible. This selfless act was a proud achievement and one that will continue to resonate with those who knew him and the lives he touched.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. Kolberg; stepfather, James Kirk; and nephew, Zachary Schoenbach. He is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Kirk; sister, Krystal (Bill Draper) Kolberg; and niece, Kayla Kolberg. His family will forever remember him as a beacon of kindness and gentleness. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him, and the natural world he so dearly loved will serve as a lasting tribute to his memory.
In keeping with the family's wishes, no services will he held. Palmer Funeral Home- Hoven Chapel is assisting the family. If you would like to leave online condolences for Scott and his family please visit www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
