Age 90, of Silver Springs, passed away on July 1, 2025 at Eastside Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility in Warsaw.
She was born on April 23, 1935, in Castile, daughter of the late John E. Coffey Jr. and Catherine Schroeder Coffey. Joan worked for many years as a medical secretary in Sarasota, FL. She was a long-time member of the Castile United Church of Christ. Joan enjoyed baking, reading, and was a collector of many knick-knacks. She liked holiday seasons, and decorating for them was her favorite part. Joan also enjoyed planning her class reunions; but most of all, Joan loved the time she spent with her friends and travelling with her sister, Dorothy.
Along with her parents, Joan is predeceased by her sister Phyllis Barber and her brother-in-law Charles Barber, her sister Dorothy Graves and her brother in law David Graves; her brothers, John S. Coffey, Richard Schroeder and Paul Coffey; her sister-in-law, Harriet Schroeder.
She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Kathaleen Coffey of Silver Springs, Sally Coffey of Rochester and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 11 AM – 1 PM at Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, 246 N. Main St., Warsaw. Joan’s memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 1 PM. Burial at Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Silver Springs Fire Department and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 117, Silver Springs, NY 14550.
