Joan Drew Connery, 76 of Milford, NH slipped away peacefully, after a period of declining health, on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
Born to the late Francis E. Drew and Catherine Drew (Ahern) on August 18, 1947, in Concord, NH, she spent most of her life in NH with a brief stint in Perrysburg, OH. She was a beloved wife to her husband of 37 years, William H. Connery III, and a proud, devoted and passionate mom and ‘Gri’ to her children and grandchildren. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, great aunt and friend.
Joan graduated from Milford High School in 1965 and studied at Hesser College. Her quiet, quick and witty sense of humor was witnessed until the end. She will be remembered for her incredible love of family and friends, the New England seacoast, nature, traveling, and her passion for Boston sports. She could frequently be found peeking at the T.V. through her fingers while yelling at the team that was currently torturing her. She had an easy way of falling in love with any sport or passion her husband, kids or grandkids discovered. She may have even loved a well-executed car show simply for the joy it brought her husband. She was a terrific photographer, seamstress, executive administrator, and homemaker who loved to knit.
Joan is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Connery of Milford; her daughter Deanna Sullivan and her husband Chris of Francestown, NH; her sons, Darrell Bergeron and wife, Natasha of Exeter, NH; Justin Bergeron and his wife, Lauren of Dublin, NH; stepdaughters Taryn Connery and her husband, Vipat Raksakulthai of No. Hampton, NH; and Talia Connery and her husband, David Graham of No. Hampton, NH. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Drew and Dillon Sullivan; Casey and Matilda Bergeron; Wyn and Vinai Raksakulthai; Gray and Oona Graham; her sister, Kathleen Drew and nephew, Jarrod Albert and his wife, Heather.
SERVICES: A casual celebration of life will be scheduled this spring.
