Joan O. Davis was born August 20, 1936, and departed this life January 7, 2026, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at 89 years of age.
Joan lived in the Fordland, Missouri, area for most of her adult life, and she attended Fordland Free Will Baptist Church. She worked at the Kindall Store in Olga, Missouri, for many years. After its closing, she worked as a house cleaner for many years.
Joan always enjoyed having a dog throughout her life, and most recently she loved her special dog, Missy. She loved all animals and personally supported many animal shelters over the years. One of Joan’s favorite hobbies was working puzzles.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie Davis, all of her brothers and sisters, and three of her dogs.
She is survived by two nephews, Russell Davis and Virgil Davis, one niece, Ruby Williams, one special great-niece, Amanda Kingery, many other great-nephews and great-nieces, and her dog, Missy, who will miss her.
