Joan Bea Eros
Joan Bea Eros, age 95, wife of the late John Eros and daughter of the late Lena and Louis Greenspan died Monday, March 10, 2025 in Brooklyn, NY.
Born in Harrisburg, PA, Joan loved her childhood, Big Band music of the 40s, dancing, and American History. She was a 40-year resident of Yardley PA and a long-time member of Adath Israel Congregation where she served on sisterhood committees. During her daughter Lynn's childhood, Joan spent many evenings and weekends at softball games loyally cheering on the team. Family meant everything, and Joan hosted many holiday meals – delicious kugel and brisket!
In her 20s, Joan resided in New York City and worked for CBS television. Joan retired from Morrisville School District where she was in Accounts Payable. In her 80s she audited a history class at Bucks County Community College and added a unique perspective to the students.
In 2013 she moved to Brooklyn Heights to be close to Lynn. Joan loved Brooklyn, her 100-year-old building, many meals and laughs with Lynn, and the special friends she made.
Joan is survived by her beloved daughter Lynn Eros.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral service at 10:30am Thursday March 13th at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel, 1534 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ. Burial will follow at the Adath Israel Section of Fountain Lawn Memorial Park in Ewing, NJ.
The family respectfully requests contributions in Joan's memory in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society, Greenwood House, Alzheimer's Association, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
