Lupe R. Eros, age 88, rejoined her late husband, Manuel V. Eros on September 17, 2021. Born on January 15, 1933, in Brawley, CA.

Lupe was the eldest of her sibling's. She spent most of her early teenage years working to help her mother support her family. In the early 60's, working as a part-time waitress at Asia Cafe, she met and later married the love of her life, Manuel V. Eros. Despite the tumultuous heat, Lupe also worked long, hard hours in packing sheds in Imperial Valley for many years. It was in these packing sheds that she developed many long-lasting friendships which eventually led to Lupe coordinating bus trips on a monthly basis to Morongo Valley and Laughlin, NV. Some of the happiest moments in her life were spent in Laughlin, playing her favorite Sizzling 7 slot machines. Lupe had a passion and skill for crochet hooks and counting links. She could whip up a blanket, a snowman, a cartoon character, beanies, and booties in no time. Lupe enjoyed spending time sharing yarn, coffee, and crochet patterns with her long-time friend Nerrie. Lupe created her own "Casino Bucket List". Determined to play in as many casinos as she possibly could, Lupe collected casino cards in most Southern California casinos, every casino on the Laughlin strip, Las Vegas, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Iowa. Lupe also enjoyed sharing her childhood stories with her great-grandchildren and singing old folk songs to them. She had many nicknames, such as: Vivian, Mom, Ca-U, Bubble, Ga-bu-but NEVER Grandma!

Lupe is preceded in death by her mother, Adela B. Reyes, 2 sister's, 2 brother's, her loving daughter Margot A. Alcantar and her husband of 57 years, Manuel V. Eros.

She is survived by her children, Martha Alcantar, Gilbert Alcantar, Carlos (Lucy) Alcantar, Manuel Eros, Jr., Grandchildren, L.Yvette Eros-Johnson (Jermane), Meah Eros, Jeremiah, Jaylin & Jermane Johnson, Jr., Anthony Baiza, Miranda Atrian, Mikel & Maria Alcantar, Mariana Fisher, Christopher, Carlos Alcantar, Jr. & David Alcantar, Sergio & Eric Valle, Kayla Hernandez, Manuel Eros III and Jasmin Eros. Lupe leaves behind 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren who miss her dearly. Lupe has 5 surviving sister's and 2 surviving brother's.

Family and friends are invited to attend a final visitation at Frye Chapel on October 6, 2021, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Rosary will begin at 10 a.m. Luncheon location will be announced after the service.
