Joan D. Fulmer, age 92, of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Old Bridge Medical Center. Born in Newark, Joan had made Sayreville her home for the past 50 years. She was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes Council 2061 and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 211. Joan especially enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with her best friend, Marylou Currotto, where they often played the slots. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ann Stuhlinger; her siblings, George Stuhlinger, and Elaine Majewski; her son Mark Fulmer, her stepson, Terry Fulmer; and her beloved husband, Denis Fulmer.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Jeannine Fulmer; her stepson, Denny Fulmer; her grandsons, Christopher and Eric Fulmer; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday from 4pm to 8pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin. A brief viewing will take place on Saturday morning starting at 9am, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
