Joan Edna Hall (nee Bonuso), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Marvin L. Hall; beloved daughter of the late Jasper and Nina Bonuso; devoted mother of Jean (Gary) Delaney, Joan Williams, Kenny (Kim) Hall, Scott (Evelyn) Hall, and Michael Hall; cherished grandmother of Angie (Jared) Arico, Laura (Todd) Schmidt, Kelly (Eric) Deen, David (Julia) Williams, Brian Hall, Eric (Sarah) Hall, River (Laura Hlebasko) Hall, AJ Hall, Tyler Hall, Nick Hall, Chris (Jennie) Wang-Hall, Tiffanie (Jorge) Fulton, and Kristina Taylor; treasured great-grandmother of Jonah Arico, Brynn Arico, Sloan Schmidt, Quinn Schmidt, Nolan Deen, Preston Deen, Maven Deen, Brayden Williams, Piper Hall, Henley Hall, and Lola Wang-Hall. Joan is also preceded in death by her grandchild, Amy Williams and her brother, Frank Bonuso.

Joan was married to Marvin, the love of her life, for 45 wonderful years before his passing. Together they enjoyed tole painting, dancing, traveling, and boating with their family. Joan cherished time spent with friends in her card club and truly never met a stranger. Warm, loving, and easy to talk to, she formed lasting friendships wherever she went.

Joan had a generous heart and a passion for serving others. She volunteered at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Anderson Hospital, and she previously worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph Hospital. Known affectionately as the “Cookie Lady,” Joan delighted hospital staff and patients alike with her homemade treats. She was also a wonderful cook and baker at home.

In her quieter moments, Joan enjoyed reading and bird watching. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association.
