Joan Hendrex Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNutt Funeral Home - Conroe on Nov. 24, 2023.
Joan Elaine (Crowe) Hendrex, born in Houston, Texas on December 21, 1941, departed peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in Conroe, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Weldon L. Crowe and Clarite Hurt (Brockman) Crowe.
Joan leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She was the devoted wife of Delma L. Hendrex Jr. for 57 wonderful years.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Warwick, and son, Todd L. Hendrex, along with their loving spouses, Gary and
Stephanie. Joan's presence will be deeply missed by her 3 beloved grandchildren, Leslie Vorndran, Amanda Gray, and Nathan Hendrex, as well as her 2 precious great-grandchildren, Kaden Gray and Ava Vorndran. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Cole, and her husband, as well as numerous adoring nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Joan was a proud graduate of Sam Houston High School in 1961. Throughout her life, she embraced various roles, working as a bookkeeper, a medical billing specialist, a billing assistant in the car rental industry, and
a dedicated babysitter. Yet her most cherished moments were those spent at home with her family. Joan enjoyed every family gathering and was known for her quick wit and humorous remarks. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She and her husband, Delma, embarked on numerous business trips and journeys to Las Vegas. But Joan's greatest adventures were the ones she shared with her children and grandchildren, creating priceless memories that will be treasured for generations.
In celebrating Joan's life, we remember her laughter, love for a good party, and unwavering love for family. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joan's name to a charity of your choice to honor her memory and continue her legacy of kindness.
A memorial service to celebrate Joan's life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at McNutt Funeral Home. Friends, family, and friends are welcome to join in remembrance and share their stories of this remarkable woman who brought so much joy to our lives.
