Joan Hersom

Joan was born to Alfred and Gertrude Rollins in Arlington, Massachusetts. Soon after they moved to New Hampshire and found it to be the perfect place to settle roots. Joan was a beautiful soul inside and out. She had many friends and interests but her greatest love was for her family. She had 2 boys and a girl, Paul Bradley, Keith and Suzanne. Also 5 grandchildren including Lindsay, Dana, Keith, Nick and Callie. Her great-grand children were Kaden, Steven, Curt, and the newest, babygirl, Serina.

Joan started working as an executive secretary for GE for 10 years as a young adult. It wasn't long before she discovered her true passion as a cosmetologist. She loved to beautify the ladies and they loved her. She had a 50 year career and a 50 year marriage to Eddie Hersom. They enjoyed the music scene, friends, family, and doing life together.

When her children were young she had a salon a block away from Aunt Millies who was always available for a chat and a snack. The cousins gathered there for food and fun. Joan's early years were spent going to basketball, baseball, and dance recitals. Later she enjoyed special times with her grandchildren.

Joan had a smile that could light up any room and always enjoyed a good laugh. She loved shopping, dining, music and the beach. So retiring in Florida seemed like the perfect destination. She soon found St. Augustine the perfect quaint, little beach town. Her best friend Patty had settled there years before, an ideal landing spot.

Joan's love was boundless and included many fur babies along the way too. Her last cat Grayson, was an especially sweet one. Lastly, mom was a very special lady with a heart of gold and she will be missed immensely. She is now at peace relaxing at a beautiful beach soaking in every moment of the surf and the sand. Total bliss.
