Priscilla Verville Hersom

Priscilla (Verville) Hersom, 79, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born in Biddeford, Maine, Priscilla spent her life in the Biddeford and Arundel communities.
Priscilla shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, David Hersom. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories-especially their summers spent camping with the Happy Rovers and the many travels they enjoyed throughout the years. In her younger years, Priscilla also enjoyed her time with the Red Hat Society, where she formed friendships and embraced life with joy and humor.
She was a loving mother to her two children: her son, Jeffrey Hersom, and his wife, Christine, of Shapleigh, Maine; and her daughter, Melissa, and her husband, Robert, of Gorham, Maine. Priscilla was also a proud grandmother to four grandchildren-Michael Amadon and his wife, Jamie; David Hersom and his wife, Olivia; Danielle Amadon; and Jessica Amadon. Her legacy continues through her six great-grandchildren: Carter, Gabriel, Bentley, Adeline, Brooklynn, and Madeleine.
Priscilla was predeceased by her parents, Albert Verville (1960) and Bernadette Verville (1977), and her sister, Jacqueline Kinne, who passed in 2001.
Priscilla was deeply loved by her family and the many friends whose lives she touched. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
A memorial gathering will be held at Hope Memorial on November 28, 2025, from 4–7 p.m. for family and friends.
