Obituary For Joan Patricia Isaac

Joan Patricia Isaac passed away, at the age of 91 at her home in Auburn, Washington, on September 9, 2025, surrounded by family. She is survived by her four children; Jean Elliott (Paul), Kevin Isaac (Sydney), Randy Isaac (Becky), June Isaac; her grandchildren, Desiree Elliott, Kyra Isaac, Samuel Isaac, her great grandson, Sage Buff-Elliott and her Siblings; Judy, Chris and David and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was born at Gatterick Army Camp in Richmond, Yorkshire UK on April 10th, 1934. Her family settled down in Watford where she met her late husband Chester Isaac and married in May of 1954. Chester was in the Air Force so they moved around. They finally settled in Tacoma, Washington, where they stayed for a couple of years. They moved to a house in Auburn, Washington in 1976 where they lived until their passing.

Joan worked as a Food Service worker at Clover Park High School in Lakewood and then transferred to the Federal Way School District. She loved working with the students, talking to them as they go through the lunch line and helping them when she could. She belonged to the British Wives Club which she enjoyed because she felt like she was at home. She was very close to her family and would have gatherings at the house whenever she could. She was our Rock and will be greatly missed.

The family wished to thank the Providence Hospice Staff for the care, kindness, and support; Price-Helton Funeral Home for their support and arranging the funeral service and to all who have supported us through this difficult time.

Services will be held at Sumner Voiles Funeral Chapel on September 29, 2025 at 11:00am
