Joan Milner, 79, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. Funeral services will be 11am, Wednesday, May 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, with Pastor David Cozart officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 10am, at the funeral home.
Joan was born September 17, 1945, to John and Wauline (Skinner) Ghita. She grew up in Montgomery, Alabama where she met her husband, Jimmie Milner. They were married 55 years until Jimmie’s passing in 2019. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family, embroidering, sewing and gardening.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Brenda Gentry.
She is survived by her children, Jody, JoAnna and husband Terry, JaNette and husband Jim, Julie, Jimmie Jr., and Jonathan; brother, Mike Ghita; and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cody Linebaugh, Calvin Lowe, Austin McLure, Jeremy Arias, Jonathan Milner, and Paul Salazar.
