Joan Marie (Carey) Navarro of Newton passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025 at age 91. Up until the end, Joan maintained her kindness, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, love of family and friends and expressed gratitude for her long life, full of wonderful and varied experiences.

Joan leaves behind her two sons Joseph Navarro of Beverly and Stephen Navarro and his wife Kelly of Newton; and her daughter Maureen (Navarro) Gallant and husband David of Douglas, MA. She was a cherished grandmother to Colin Navarro of Woburn, Alyssa (Navarro) Cincotta and her husband Thomas of Waltham and Joseph Navarro of Billerica. She'll also be missed by her beloved great-grandchildren Aria Capri and Dani Marie. Joan also leaves her dear friend Julie Gouldthorpe of Newburyport.

A celebration of her life and Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 10, at 10:30AM in Our Lady's Church, 573 Washington St, Newton. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. No service or gathering at the funeral home.
