Joan Richards Obituary
Born on August 17, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA, Joan was the daughter of the late Ruth (Koll) Brisbin. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Richards, Sr., and a devoted mother to Jay (Amber) Richards. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Sandy Brannon and Vicky Richards.
Joan was a cherished grandmother to Amber (Douglas) Horning, Tim Brannon, Stefanie Brannon, Mindy (Doug) Bergman, and Heather (Alex) Kronz, and a proud great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Joan to Union Presbyterian Church, 6165 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

Joan was such an integral part of Union Church. She was always ready to assist anyone for any reason to benefit whatever was happening....and we had better do it correctly!!! There was only one way to do things and that was the correct way.
I loved Joan's sense of style and always looked forward to seeing what she was wearing.
Joan was kind, thoughtful , and the most interesting lady. We will truly miss her.
