Joan Carol Senogles, age 71, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan died on February 14, 2025, in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on November 13, 1954, in Sault Ste. Marie to Carl and Jessie (Mitchell) Senogles.
Joan grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended Sault High School, graduating in 1972. She worked at various jobs and took care of the laundry services for the local United States Coast Guard housing.
Joan enjoyed being outdoors and loved horses. She even had a favorite, a Sorrel Quarter horse named Janet! She also loved to watch Lawrence Welk and she was the first to get in the car to go to Walmart.
Joan was a member of the Rosedale Community Church and loved helping people.
Joan is survived by her brother, Dale (Pam) Senogles of Holland, Michigan; sisters, Linda Senogles of St. Ignace, Michigan, Carla (Tom) Shilts of Bellaire, Michigan, and Sherri (Ron) Yager of Sand Lake, Michigan, nephews, Lucas Senogles, Ryan Murphy, Matthew Murphy; nieces, Valerie Voisin, Melanie Voisin, Lucinda Shilts and Bridget Shilts and many other step nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Jessie.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Family Life Funeral Homes, 999 S. State Street, St. Ignace, MI, 49781, from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:30 PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Joan's honor to the St. Ignace United Methodist Church, 615 US-2W, St. Ignace, Michigan 49781.
