Joan attended Marshall Schools. She worked for Lamb Knit in Colon, Michigan, for a chiropractor in Marshall and Squire's in Battle Creek.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Kay (Duane Henderson) Morris of Battle Creek, MI, Luann (Harold Penley) Morris of Cookeville, TN; son Kevan (Dawn) Morris of Burlington, MI; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and half brother, James (Anne) Lauer of Florida. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Lewis Morris; half sister, Delores Faurst; half brother, Gerald Lauer; son, Jay Morris; and husband, William Tatroe.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place in the Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall, MI.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oaklawn Hospice in memory of Joan.
