JoAnn Cody Obituary

JoAnn received an education in the Atlanta Public School System and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1971. She attended Atlanta Area Technical College for accounting. She went on to work at and retire from Georgia Power after 29 years of service. She loved to watch baseball, eat fish and crab legs. She loved gathering with her family and friends during the holidays and for cookouts.
JoAnn was a dedicated and loving mother to her two sons: James Cody, Jr. (who preceded her in death), and Eric Cody.
On October 21, 2025, the Lord called JoAnn home. She is survived by her three sisters: Myrtice Rowe (T. C. Rowe), Sabrina McNeal and Debbie Scott, her three best friends Paulette, Marlene and Linda, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
