JoAnn Yvonne Phillips Correll, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 1, 1946, in Charlotte, NC, JoAnn lived a life rich with warmth, laughter, and the bonds of family.
Having dedicated many years of her life to her career as a screen printer and in the shipping department, JoAnn found joy not just in her work, but also in the vibrant moments spent with her family. She was known for her incredible ability to bring people together, creating a haven of love and support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. JoAnn's pride in her family was unparalleled; they were undoubtedly her proudest accomplishment.
Her legacy is beautifully carried on by her wonderful children, Claudia Moore (Carl Carter), Barbara Correll, and Billy Correll. Each of them holds deep memories of their mother's unwavering love and encouragement. JoAnn’s grandchildren, Christina, Racheal, Austin, and Braydean, will forever cherish the time spent with her, creating countless memories that will remain etched in their hearts. The laughter of her great-grandchildren, Myra, Landon, and Claudia Anne, will echo the essence of her nurturing spirit for generations to come.
JoAnn was also surrounded by a supportive family network, including her brother-in-law, Don Queen, and her nephew, George Holbrook, along with his family, who all cherished her caring personality and the way she made everyone feel valued and loved.
Although she has entered into eternal rest, JoAnn is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Everette Basil Phillips and Estelle Hoilman, her late husband Joe Correll, and her dear sister Frankie Queen. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
As we remember JoAnn Phillips Correll, we celebrate the remarkable woman who selflessly devoted her life to her family, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, kindness, and the warmth of shared memories. Her spirit will remain alive in every cherished moment and in the stories so fondly recalled by those who were privileged to know her.
