JoAnn Elizabeth (Sperti) Eldridge, 77, a lifelong Battle Creek resident died with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital after a brief illness.

JoAnn was born January 14, 1948, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Frank Salvatore and Helen Frances (O’Donnell) Sperti. She was a 1966 graduate of St. Philip Catholic Central. JoAnn was employed at the Main Street Market for many years, but her greatest job was taking care of her family.

JoAnn Elizabeth Sperti was united in marriage to Donald Paul Eldridge on May 21, 1967 in Battle Creek. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don on October 26, 2021. Surviving are their children, Todd (Glory) Eldridge of Battle Creek, Jonathan (Danielle) Eldridge of South Lyon, Mark (Erin) Eldridge of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren, Andy Eldridge, Josh (Brittany) Eldridge, Evan (Logan) Eldridge, Ethan Eldridge, Emily Eldridge, Lauren (Harrison Jewell) Eldridge, Tristan Eldridge, Logan Eldridge; three great-grandchildren, Mya, Clare and Blake Eldridge; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Eldridge Newman; sister, Patricia Sperti; and a nephew, James (Kelly) Eldridge. Joann was also preceded in death by her son, Rob Eldridge and her parents, Frank and Helen.

JoAnn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was active in the C.C.W. She enjoyed her time with her lifelong Bunko friends and her Thursday card group. She also had many friends that she considered family. Joann and Don enjoyed camping at Mears State Park in Pentwater and began a beloved tradition for their entire family. More than anything, Joann loved attending and cheering on her kids and grandkids in every event and activity. Family was everything to her.

Friends will be received 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, where a service to celebrate JoAnn’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025.
