It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of JoAnn Brooks Huffstetler, who left this world on April 6, 2024, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. JoAnn was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She was born on March 30, 1954, in Gaston County, North Carolina, to her parents Joseph Theodore Brooks and Hazel Louise Jones Brooks.

Throughout her life, JoAnn dedicated herself to a career in insurance, where she worked tirelessly. However, her most treasured moments were those spent with her beloved family. JoAnn's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally.

JoAnn's warm and caring personality shone through in everything she did. She was a dedicated member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church and found solace and joy in sitting in her "happy place she-shed," surrounded by her beautiful flowers. Working in her garden brought her immense joy, and it was evident that she had a special touch with all things botanical.

In JoAnn's final moments, she was comforted by the presence of her loving family. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bruce H. Huffstetler; her sons Joseph Huffstetler (Rena), Christopher Huffstetler; grandchildren Hannah Huffstetler, Abigail Stamey, Zachary Huffstetler, Trinity Wright (Taylor); great-grandchildren Lucas and Kaleb; as well as many wonderful friends and church family who will miss her dearly.

Services to honor and celebrate JoAnn's life will be held at the Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation on April 11th for visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will take place on April 12th starting at 12:00 PM in the Chapel with Reverend Richard Cole officiating at the same location followed by interment at Gaston Memorial Park, Dogwood III section at 1:00 PM.

JoAnn touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness, love, and compassion. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts as we cherish the legacy of a remarkable woman who brought light into our lives. May she rest in peace.
