JoAnn Pryor, 90, of Mulberry, Kansas, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Oakview Estate Residential Care in Frontenac.
She was born November 5, 1933, in Burgess, Missouri the daughter of Lloyd and Opal (Leonartz) Patrick. She graduated from Mulberry High School.
On June 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to Merle "Pooch" E. Pryor, Jr. in Mulberry, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2012.
Mrs. Pryor was a homemaker.
Membership was held in the Frontenac United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed puzzles and playing cards.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Murphy and her husband, Pat of Arma, KS, and Vicky Hoffman and her husband, Rod of Mulberry, KS, six grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron and Kerri Murphy, Quentin and Krista Murphy, Rodney and Natalie Hoffman, Jr., Becky and Matt Mutz, Trisha and Chris Moore, and Bryan and Terri Hoffman, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Don Patrick.
A service for Mrs. Pryor is set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Brenner Mortuary with Chaplain Janie Aita conducting the service. Burial will follow in the Rosebank Cemetery, Mulberry, KS. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, to sign the register book. The family suggests memorials to the Guide Dogs of America. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 East 4th St., Pittsburg, KS. 66762. Friends may leave condolences online at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, KS.
