Michael "Mike" Pryor age 65, of Columbus passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025. Throughout his life, Mike epitomized the qualities of a dedicated father, a hardworking individual, and a master of many trades. His unwavering devotion to his family and his passion for his work were hallmarks of his character, along with his caring nature that touched the lives of many.
Mike was a proud graduate of Hamilton Township High School, Class of 1978. Following high school, he began a diverse professional journey that included roles at Horton, Global Fleet, Spirit Services, and Ace Septic Tank. However, he is best remembered for his leadership at Pryor’s Auto & Truck, where his talents truly flourished. Known for his tireless work ethic and wide-ranging skill set, Mike built a reputation as a jack of all trades—capable, resourceful, and always ready to take on any challenge.
A true car enthusiast, Mike had a lifelong love for racing and proudly owned a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. These passions reflected his adventurous spirit and his deep appreciation for craftsmanship and speed. He was also a dedicated member of Amvets and Sons of Amvets Post 1312, reflecting his respect for veterans and his commitment to community service.
Mike is preceded in death by his beloved son, Christopher Pryor, and his father, Robert L. Pryor, whose memories will forever remain a part of his life story.
Known for being a strict father, it was always evident how deeply Mike loved his children. He cherished every moment with his family. He is survived by his sons, Shawn (Brittany) Pryor and John (Alisha) Pryor, and Mark T. Clinger and his daughter, Elizabeth A. Pryor. His legacy lives on in his grandchildren: Natalia, Anson, Amelia, Jacob, Jayden, Jackson, Eleanor, Kristian, Aubree, Kaiden, Carter, Wyatt, Danica, Rylynn, and Lilly; and his great-grandchildren, Weston and Bennett.
He is also survived by his loving mother, Flossie M. Pryor; his sisters: Sharon Cochenour, Sandra (Mark) Holly, Barbara Pryor, and brother, Billy Pryor; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mike’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Family will receive friends, Monday, August 18, 2025, at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High Street, Columbus, OH. 43207 beginning at 3:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm with Pastor Tony Liuzzo officiating.
