Joann Stinnett, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023, in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was proceeded in death by her father and mother William A. and Almeda R. Blount, her sisters Geneva White and Wanda Bell and her brothers Wesley Blount and Roy Blount.   Joann is survived by her loving children Brenda Stinnett, Gary (Julie) Stinnett, Janice Stinnett; grandchildren Scott (Ashley) Stinnett, Christopher Stinnett, Madison Stinnett, Cameron Stinnett, and Amber Stinnett.
Joann was a remarkable woman with a deep Christian faith and lived her life with kindness, love, and a zest for adventure. She had a warm heart and compassionately touched the lives of all who knew her. Joann's passing leaves a void that can never be filled but her legacy of love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those she cherished.

Joann had a deep appreciation for family and treasured every moment spent together. She found joy in preparing for holidays and hosting gatherings where she would create cherished memories with her loved ones. The warmth of Joann's spirit could be felt through her delicious home-cooked meals that brought everyone together.

In her free time, Joann enjoyed exploring the world through travel. Whether it was discovering new places or revisiting familiar destinations, she found solace in embracing different experiences. Additionally, Joann possessed a green thumb and took immense pleasure in tending to her garden. The beauty of nature always served as a source of inspiration and tranquility for her.

One of Joann's favorite pastimes was delving into history topics and conducting research. Her thirst for knowledge was evident as she eagerly delved into various subjects to expand her understanding of the world around her. She also possessed the incredible ability to captivate others by sharing incredible stories that would resonate long after they were told.
Joann's legacy will continue to shine brightly through the memories, love, and lessons she imparted to her family and friends. Her comforting presence and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation services will be held on December 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel, located at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. The funeral service will take place on December 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, MO at 4:00 PM.

Joann Stinnett's departure from this world leaves a void that cannot be filled; however, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her. May we find comfort in the many cherished memories we shared with Joann as we gather together to celebrate a life well-lived.   Flowers are appreciated as a memorial tribute, no plants or donations please.
