My life began Thanksgiving Day, November 28th 1935. I was the 8th child of nine born to Barney & Katie Porter. Raised on a cotton farm in Brookhaven, Mississippi I learned the value of hard work early. I settled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1955. This is where I met my husband of 65 years, Clyde Worrell. Unable to conceive children, by God's grace, we were able to adopt a son, Bret in 1964. In 1966 we were blessed with the adoption of a little girl that we named Tammy. In 1994 I received my first grandchild, Brittany Worrell. She was followed by a little sister, Beth Worrell in 1998. In 1999 my precious grandson, Bailey Vosburg, made his entrance. I can not tell you how much these three little souls have brighten my life. In 2014 God blessed me with my step-grandsons, Joel and Jakob Monroe. Having raised my children in Denham Springs, Louisiana - Clyde and I downsized and retired in 1997 in Walker, Louisiana. I lost my beloved husband in 2021 and soon after my health began to fail. I relocated to Panama City Beach, Florida and under the watchful eye of my son-in-law Mike, I wanted and needed for nothing. Tammy and Mike tended to my Health, Home and Happiness until my last breath. My life on earth came to a end on Tuesday, September 16th 2025. This is not a good-bye, but only a pause until we meet again in heaven.

Love,

JoAnn
