St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Joanna Latiolais Armentor, 84, who passed away on October 21, 2023 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
Rev. Jason Vidrine will officiate at the funeral mass. Reader will be Jade Hulin. Gift bearers will be Pamela Armentor and Megan Armentor.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
She was born July 17, 1939, in St. Martinville. Joanna was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family immensely, especially her pride and joy, being her only granddaughter, Megan. She found great joy in cooking for her family and friends and also playing cards in her younger years. Joanna's kitchen was always open, and she delighted in having friends and family gather around her table. She possessed a warm and inviting nature, making her home a haven for all who entered. Visitors were welcomed with open arms and treated to her generous hospitality. Her home was a place filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that will now live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Joanna's unwavering love and dedication to her family was the cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamella Armentor; son, Allen Armentor, Jr. (Phyllis Thibodeaux); grandchild, Megan Armentor and her son, Asher Henderson; siblings, Nancy Theriot, Lee "LJ" Latiolais, Jr. (Diane), and James "Jim" Latiolais (Debbie).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Armentor, Sr.; parents, Lee Latiolais, Sr. and Ann Savoy Latiolais; brother, Curley Latiolais (Susie); brother-in-law, Jerry Theriot; and sister-in-law, Lilly Latiolais.
Pallbearers will be Jim Latiolais, LJ Latiolais, Eugene Latiolais, Perry Barras, Tommy Latiolais and Ricky Latiolais.
Honorary pallbearers will be Addison Bienvenu and Scottie Latiolais.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
